Winners of the "Best Musical Act 2020 and 2019" in the West Midlands and National Finalists at "The Wedding Industry Awards", Undercover Artists combine the talents of West End performers to bring you the best in entertainment for your event. Covering all styles of music, each of our singing waiters has trodden the boards of the West End stage, UK Number 1 tours or for major Cruise Lines, appearing in shows such as Les Miserables, Saturday Night Fever, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Beauty & the Beast, and Spamalot (the Monty Python Musical) to name but a few. We are a group of friends who have either trained together at top London Drama Schools, appeared in shows together, or have been recommended by another member of the group.
Our team will create a bespoke package tailor made to your needs, and using the same core performers ensures that we deliver a highly choreographed and polished show. Performing for 30 minutes just after the last dessert has been served, our singing waiters will integrate themselves into your special day, taking on the role of one of the venue's waiters or bar staff before bursting into song, getting everyone involved.
From large Corporate Events to small intimate weddings, our Singing Waiters have performed for the likes of Prime Minister - Theresa May, Coca Cola and Chelsea FC. Our Singing Staff have visited some of the most beautiful venues the UK has to offer, from Warwick Castle, to Blenheim Palace. Have a look at some of our previous Undercover Artists events that we have been lucky enough to have been involved with.
Here are just a few videos of some of our Undercover Artists / Singing Waiters in action.

Our performers at Undercover Artists all have West End credits to their name, performing in shows such as Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Evita and Saturday Night Fever. From Classical and Musical Theatre to Rat Pack and Swing, we have all genres of music covered. Have a listen to what we can offer below.
We don’t just perform at Weddings, we also regularly perform at huge corporate events. Here are just a few of our previous clients:
The team you have booked will arrive two hours before your guests are due to arrive to set up the PA system and sound check, this is so that no one in your party can spot us and ruin the surprise. We will then change into the uniform of the venue and start helping out with duties for when your guests arrive to blend in. Throughout the meal/buffet/drinks reception we will help with basic duties such as pouring wine, refilling water jugs and clearing empty glasses to make sure that we have been seen, before bursting into song as desserts have been placed down. Please note we are hired as entertainment and are not to be included as members of staff, we are performers that are there to "act" as waiters and are providing an entertainment service.
As the last dessert has been placed on the table, one of our team will be walking through the room with a tray of spoons, only as they do so, they fall and trip on the floor, causing a commotion. This is purely to get the attention of the room, and is very quick, the rest of the performance is about getting everyone up and having a good time. Please note we're there to compliment the venue, so do not include anything that will create a negative atmosphere (bad service/arguments/interruptive speeches).
Through years of experience, and trialling different times, our company starts just after the last dessert has been served, regardless of when you have speeches planned. This is for several different reasons. The first being we need everyone sat down so that they notice the fall, guests tend to get up in-between courses to either go outside/to the bar/to the bathroom, and we need everyone in one place, otherwise the initial surprise is lost. We're also aware of not delaying your timings, so by the time all desserts have been served, top table will have finished. The first couple of songs are establishing what is going on, so by the time we get everyone up and involved on the third song, all guests should have finished their desserts. If we perform after a course, it will add on half an hour to your meal time and delay the food, as if you bring out hot food/desserts during the performance, guests will lose interest and focus on the food.
Our surprise shows last for around 30 minutes, this is usually 7 songs with an optional 8th as an encore. We find this amount of time works best and keeps everyone entertained. We have an extensive set list which you can choose from, ranging from Classical, to Rat Pack. If you can't find what you're looking for we will learn 1 additional song with a minimum of 4 weeks notice as long as there is a decent backing track available.
Through years of experience we have put together a rather large repertoire list that you can choose from. We will be in touch 4 weeks before your booking to send over our up to date song list plus a recommended shortlist of around 25 songs to help, as some songs do work much better than others. We update the list regularly so recommend you wait until this point to choose your songs as some may no longer appear on the list. Unfortunately due to the amount of shows we have out we are unable to learn a whole new set for each booking, so we do ask that you choose from our tried and tested list. However if you have a special request, we will learn 1 additional song, as long as we have a minimum of 4 weeks notice and there's a decent backing track available.
At Undercover Artists, we only use the highest standard of performers. What makes us different is that we are a small community of singers who have all worked together in the West End or at high profile events together over the past 10 years. From performing at the Champions League Final in Berlin, to The Royal Albert Hall, we only use the best singers. All singers have been Classically trained or attended Drama School in London so can perform all genres of music. Unfortunately we are unable to take lineup requests as we assign our singers based on location so that we're not travelling unnecessarily to a show. Also if we need to arrange cover last minute due to illness or unforeseen circumstances it's too difficult to take this into account. However rest assured that all our performers have been trained exactly the same way and are used to working with each other, so regardless of the lineup (Female/Female, Male/Female, or Male/Male) you will receive exactly the same result and it makes no difference to the performance or the outcome. As a company we feel that gender is irrelevant to the success of the performance.
Our standard package comes in teams of 2, but we can provide up to teams of 6 and beyond should you wish. You are also welcome to upgrade and add additional singers at any point, subject to availability.
Yes we do. We provide PA systems and radio mics for our shows. However if you have a large venue with over 200+ guests you will need to arrange, or we will arrange on your behalf a larger PA system (at an additional cost). We are also fully insured with Public Liability insurance with coverage of up to £10,000,000 and can provide a copy should you need it. All our equipment has also been PAT tested.
Yes we do, this will happen after our planning call. The week before your event, Jess from the team will contact the venue to run them through all timings we have discussed, we will also check the uniform of the venue so that we can bring the same. Any technical requirements and certificates (PAT/PLI) will be sent over at this point.
Our main base is in Warwickshire in the Midlands but we have performers dotted all over the country, from London to Derbyshire. We will also travel and have performed all over the World, from The Property Awards in Northern Cyprus to the Caribbean, no show is too far for us to travel.
Our main focus is providing singing waiters to events, however we can perform an additional set/sets in the evening or even your first dance (at an additional cost). We do work closely with a lot of alternative acts though so are happy to make recommendations.
To book our singing waiters we have a basic contract in place which holds all information together, there's also a 20% non-refundable deposit along with the signed contract to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before, after we have had our planning call, and can be paid either via BACS, cash on the day, or cheque (please note there is a small fee to pay via cheque and this must be cleared 1 week prior to your event).
